With a façade by Hadi Teherani, a location in the middle of the Hafenpark district and a well thought-out, sustainable concept in hygge style, Frankfurt’s second Scandic is ready to set sail.
The event location and 505 hotel rooms set sail for the first time on March 1, 2023.
Scandic has been setting its sails in terms of sustainability since 1993.
Over the years, the importance of the topic has increased and is now firmly anchored in the corporate philosophy.
Its many years of experience make the Swedish hotel chain a pioneer in this respect.
This gives it an advantage over all those who are only now beginning to consider environmentally friendly operations.
The company also secured its second location in Frankfurt at an early stage.
Following initial talks at the major real estate trade fair Expo Real in Munich in 2016, the lease was signed in December of the following year.
This was followed by detailed planning with a considerable number of rooms and event spaces.
Due to the corona pandemic, the event business was famously hit hard.
But instead of restructuring, Sylvia Schnelle, Director Business Development, and her crew stuck to the construction project – a daring maneuver that proved successful despite the turbulent times.
